Hi all!
I just posted under "Events" our fiber arts event next weekend:
http://wellfedneighbor.ning.com/events/woolapalooza-2010-sheep-to
If you or folks you know are interested in learning some fiber arts either for your own use or to make for local charities, you'll probably get a LOT out of this event. If anyone wants to lend a hand with sheep or people handling, I can probably toss some homemade cornbread & other goodies into the mix - email me off the list. Hope to see some of y'all there!

I wanted to share this letter from Galen with the volunteers of MFNA. Thanks again. Jane Hathaway

Great Job at the Gillioz Theatre tour kick-off, last Saturday!

Please check out the photo's on the .ning.com site.- and send in any that you have taken.
Steve Popp will be coming this week, so bring all of your great questions and ideas for the web site.

Our new offices are shared with Hummert, Int., (Springfield Seed Co.), in the brand new location.
We are at the southwest corner of the Chestnut Expressway-Glenstone intersection. In the former Ozark Food Harvest building. We are behind the Chinese-Mongolian restaurant.

I realize that many of us live outside of the metro area and that you won't be able to make most of these ad hoc meetings.
The idea is to keep you in the loop and informed about the latest behind-the-scenes planning.

Our mission to restore a secure food supply system to our city and region is beginning to make big waves. Keep up the great work!

See you on Friday

Galen Chadwick

FROM JOE MAXWELL

"I am excited that Ruell and Galen have asked me to be part of their team as we work together to launch the first step in securing our food system--organizing new farm to table food cooperative which will be responsible for connecting the consumer to their farm family verifying and tracing their products from farm to table."

Indeed, anything that bears directly upon regaining a local food system to the Ozarks will be welcome! I personally think there is a lot of demand for 'how to' videos. I'll make sure our webmeister, Steve Popp, sees your question about posting, etc.

Am interested in creating short videos around various aspects of this movement- with the possibility of putting segments together in a documentary at a later date.

Am particularly interested in innovative approaches and ideas that are being implemented. But also want to collect workable solutions to common problems.

Also see a need for 'how to' videos about using this site: For example, how do you post videos, information, etc from an outside source.

Personal stories about the small farm lifestyle and how people came to this way of life.

Events, festivals, meetings and celebrations would also be of interest.

Galen I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend but I did leave a message to that effect pryor to the event. I had family in from out of State for only a day or two, and it just wasn't in the cards. I hope to still get involved thanks for the welcome

Welcome Bill-
If you come to the Gilloiz Theater tonight (opens at 6pm) I'd appreciate a helping hand in setting up the info and exhibit tables. In fact, all WFNA volunteers are warmly invited to join the action. Come to the Tour early. Its the fastest way to get up to speed on all the Well-Fed activities.
