All too long we have looked to the farmer first. The key is to look to the end-user and the merchant. What demand is there. This is exactly what Joe Maxwell and Russ Kremer are donating their experience to help us do. The WFNFarmers' Coop is the key! Agreements for production in, Agreements for purchase out, after a long and arduous amount or research to make sure that there is flow through and profitability. We then grow as new demand presents. In going back to an agrarian model, we need not turn the pages back. We use the local model, but we use all the technology available! Using hoop houses and new technology, it is possible to grow year round..... once we know the demand, we do the math and arrange for providers. In otherwords, the providers are the final piece of the puzzle. Nothing works without demand and we are not about creating a model that won't' fund itself. Our goal is a locally secure food supply and a vibrant, sustainable local economy. If we produce food, we will need the coop for distribution and vertical coordination. New jobs for producers, new jobs with the coops, new jobs with processors ( we must bring on line) and new jobs for merchants! New jobs at the local garden stores! This is the way it will work.
Tell ALL MERCHANTS to sign up and aid us in our
Grow Local, Buy Local, Eat Local Campaign. This is a no brainer! Bring them and help them to join. We will soon be publishing a local merchant database to aid people in choosing local over big box! Gotta run .... more later!

Thank you for letting me be a part of this Merchant Group.
I am proud to offer the only non-gmo fed poultry and egg products in a 100 mile radius of Springfield. We source out non-gmo grains, for our poultry and pork, grind our own feed mixes with natural vitamin and mineral sources, not synthetic. Grass fed only beef and lamb. Remember just because it is local most poultry producers use GMO grains unless they are grinding there own feed. We take pride in what we do quality wise, and the flavor of our products are heads above the rest. You might as well eat the best.
I would love to help with the organization of distribution of local products and the organization of local producers.
Keep in touch.

Merchants. We are currently identifying local producers, processors and merchant/retailers. If you are aware of those we are not... please send them our way. This is going to be great for our home, our children and their children. This is going to be great for Missouri!
Plan on being at the Gillioz, Jan 30th, for the Missouri Restoration Tour debut!!
